To get into the holiday spirit, we here at Dreams in Heels decided to feature 6 tasty drink recipe ideas! For those that enjoy staying at home during the holidays and host other people, these ideas are simple and it’s always cheaper than drinking out. Also, it’s fun to mix your own drinks at home and even more fun when you get to enjoy them with family, friends or with your significant ones.

“COPPERFACE
2 oz. ABSOLUT Elyx
1/2 oz. Calvados
1/4 oz. Apricot Brandy
Stirred and served with orange zest
Measure ABSOLUT ELYX, calvados and apricot brandy into a mixing tin.
 Fill three quarters full with ice and stir for 45 seconds. 
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. 
Garnish with a twist of orange peel, press oil from the orange peel over the drink and serve.
 

winter_sour
“WINTER SOUR
2 OZ. ABSOLUT Elyx
3/4 oz. Nettle Cordial
3/4 oz. cloudy apple juice
3/4 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
1/2 egg white
Add all ingredients to mixing tin without ice and shake to emulsify egg.
Add ice cubes and shake again.
Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe.
Garnish with dried apple slice and serve.

“Black-Eyed Susana”
4 blackberries, muddled
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
3/4 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. Chareau aloe liqueur
2 oz. Gran Cosecha Reposado
pinch of kosher salt
 
Add all ingredients to mixing tin and shake with ice until diluted and all ingredients incorporated. 
Strain over fresh ice into a tall Collins glass. 
Top with 1 oz. champagne. 
Garnish with toasted rosemary sprig.

“Italianaco”
2 Barspoons cinnamon simple syrup
1 oz. Amaro Montenegro
2.5 oz. Gran Cosecha Extra Anejo
1 cinnamon stick
1 dash Angostura Bitters
 
Stir until properly chilled and diluted. Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass. 
Garnish with orange oil and cinnamon stick. 
*To extract orange oils, use a vegetable peeler to remove a strip of orange zest. 
In a forward and downward motion, squeeze the orange peel, pith side in, forcing the essential oils over the cocktail. 
Rim the outer edge of the cocktail glass with the outside of the peel and hang the twist on the side of the glass.

 Grenada de Nada
1 eggwhite
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz.  cinnamon simple syrup
3/4 oz. fresh pomegranate juice
1.5 oz. Gran Cosecha Blanco
 
Dry whip all ingredients to emulsify. Add ice and shake hard for about 30 seconds. Double strain into a coupe. Garnish with grated cinnamon, grated orange zest, and Angostura bitters. Pomegranate seeds optional. 
 

 

The French Intervention by La Gran Cosecha

The French Intervention
3/4 fresh lemon juice
3/4 white creme de cacao
3/4 sweet vermouth
1/5 oz. Gran Cosecha Anejo 
 
Add all ingredients to mixing tin and shake hard with ice for about 30 seconds, until all ingredients are chilled and diluted. Double strain into a coupe. Garnish with an optional lemon twist.
