Hello DIH Readers! Today, we are celebrating World Nutella Day. Sara from Ms. Adventures in Italy and Michelle from Bleeding Espresso solemnly declare February 5th “World Nutella Day 2015″ – a day to celebrate, to get creative with, and most importantly, to EAT Nutella. All Nutella Lovers are united for one day – are you joining us? The real question is who doesn’t love nutella? As a child, I remember my mom having a food business in Puerto Rico and she used to sell candies as well. I used to steal the nutellas (do not judge me I was like 4) and eating them under the bed hidden from my mother. She used to find me and get mad at me. It was all worthy! Anyway, I would like to give you a special recipe that you can do today at home as a #ThursdayTreat! Thank me later, Bon appetite.
DIH Rice Pudding with Veetee Rice
- 2 1/2 cups skim milk
- 2 cups cooked white rice (we recommend the Veetee long grain rice or the thai jasmine rice. It is an Easy and delicious Cook Rice that you can microwaveable in two minutes.)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup nutella (or a bit more)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
-
Combine milk, veetee rice, sugar and nutella in a large saucepan.Cook on medium heat until pudding thickens, about 30-40 minutes, stirring often.Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.Serve warm or chill before serving.
Enjoy!
