Better skin creates more confidence and there are a number of ways to improve your complexion – our easy tips are here to help.
- Put On Sunscreen
If you are going to be outside for an extended period of time, you need to put on sunscreen. This is true regardless of the season or activity. When you wear sunscreen regularly, you are less likely to develop wrinkles or have other skin issues that are related to the sun. Remember, you can get burned even on a cloudy day.
- Wash Your Face
Breakouts can occur for a variety of reasons. However, if you don’t wash your face each day, you allow bacteria to build up on your skin. This could lead to an acne issue. Ideally, you should wash your face right after you get up and then again before you go to bed with the best acne treatment you can afford. Pick up a gentle cleanser that works well with your skin. You’ll be impressed with the results!
- Wash Gently
Avoid scrubbing your skin when you wash your face. Instead, be careful so that you do not harm your skin. For example, if you have a pimple on your face and you rub too vigorously, you can cause even more skin irritation. The same principle applies to drying as well; you must be careful if you want to keep your skin looking its best. Instead of rubbing when you dry, pat it with a towel.
- Use Moisturizer
There are a lot of products that can cause the skin to dry out, including hand soap. If you apply moisturizer regularly, you can avoid pain and discomfort from cracked skin. You may also be able to find a moisturizer that helps you ward off blemishes, too.
- Look For Salicylic Acid
Salicylic acid helps with acne. Therefore, when you are purchasing a cleanser, search for one that has this ingredient in it. It can also take off dead skin, leaving you looking fresh and healthy. Once you purchase your cleanser, give it up to 14 days to give you its best results. If you continue to apply it, you should be very happy with your reflection in the mirror.
- Don’t Use Dirty Makeup Brushes
There is no need to go overboard on this tip. As long as you wash your makeup brushes every few weeks, you are in good shape. Some people think that the brushes stay fairly clean, but remember, your skin can get very dirty (especially if it wasn’t washed before you applied your makeup). Brushes can harbor bacteria if they are not cleaned, which can cause problems for your skin. Therefore, take a few extra minutes to make sure your brush is working for, instead of against, you.
- Avoid Makeup As Much As Possible
Whenever you can go natural, do it. It’s better for your skin. If you’ve noticed that your skin is breaking out frequently, it may have something to do with the makeup that you are applying. Always try to get products that are free of oil.
- Eat Nuts
Nuts have a lot of protein in them and they also have omega-3 fatty acids. Walnuts give you the most bang for your buck, and by eating them, you can help with inflammation and acne.
- Avoid Dairy
Dairy has cow hormones in it. Cow hormones can lead to breakouts. Therefore, consume less dairy and opt for skim milk whenever possible.
- Clean Your Phone
You touch your phone to your face multiple times per day. You also touch your phone with your hands, which can be very dirty. Clean your phone on a regular basis.
